One of India’s largest NGOs, AWWA, Army Wives Welfare Association, has worked tirelessly towards the welfare of Army wives, widows, children and dependents since its inception in 1966. AWWA functions on the premise that a soldier works best when he is assured that his family is taken care of now and for all the times to come as well. Hence, with the guiding principle of Asha, Vishwas and Astha, every effort under this institution is aimed at supporting, empowering and augmenting the many talents of the wives and dependents of all ranks. AWWA not only gives wings to dreams but also provides a platform for these dreams to take flight, thereby lending the silent force that forms the punch in a soldier's fist.

ABOUT अbhivyakti

An innovative initiative introduced by AWWA, with the primary objective of exploring the immensely untapped literary prowess of the Armed Forces family, is “Abhivyakti”. This literary festival provides an umbrella for all literary enthusiasts to gather under one roof to exchange ideas and opinions and thereby creating interesting and engaging conversations. This is a haven for the seasoned authors to share their stories and exhibit their flair as well as for the upcoming writers to display their gift and forge connections with stalwarts. Following the astounding success of the initial two seasons of Abhivyakti, with the inaugural event at Delhi and the subsequent one at Jaipur, Southern Command AWWA is delighted to present Abhivyakti Season 3, which will take place at Pune. The third season of this fiesta, along with exploring the transition of ideas and stories into books and the transformation of books into movies and other creative adaptations, will also reconnoitre the transience that the digital age and social media bring to the literary world. We will explore the changing landscape of literature metamorphosing through “transition, transformation and transience”. Abhivyakti Season 3 will offer an immersive experience that traces the journey of literary creations from their inception to their realization. This event promises to be an unmissable opportunity to dive deep into the world of storytelling and creativity while providing a fresh perspective on the confluence of tradition and trend.
